Christmas

This was an exciting Christmas for us. Emma understands that Santa brings presents and puts them under the Christmas tree....now understanding that it happens just once a year is a different story. She keeps asking for more presents under the Christmas tree from Santa, not understanding the concept of it happening just once a year.

Of course, Grandma outdid herself and completely spoiled Emma to death. It's like this every year with her. I remember when I was younger: every year she's say, "Now Chris, this year is going to be really light. Times are tough." Yeah right--she always spoils me and Emma rotten.

Christmas Eve was spent at Papaw and Grandma Ann's. She had fun opening up her presents and dancing around for them. They got a kick out of seeing her dance around and clap...she's a trip, I tell ya.

Christmas morning was spent at our house. My mom came over and watched Emma open up all her presents. It's funny watching her open up presents. She has to get every last little piece of wrapping paper off the present before she realizes what it is. And there's so much concentration in her eyes when she's opening gifts. It's really quite funny. Some of her favorite gifts include her new easel, her Dora backpack, and her baby set (stroller, swing, & pack-and-play).

Christmas evening was spent at Nana's. Which equals more presents for Emma. Andy & I actually experienced Guitar Hero for the first time. Talk about addicting---that game is awesome. Now if only we had an extra $300 to spend on ourselves.....

It's A Boy!

We found out today that we're having a boy. I just knew it had to be a boy. I've been carrying on and carrying on about how I wanted another girl...when, in actuality, I think it's quite nice to have one of both. This pregnancy has just been so incredibly difficult, and Andy wanted a boy--so I was like, "Uh, I'm having the hardest 5 months here...it needs to be another girl. Just because you want a boy so badly and because you don't have to experience all the hell I'm going through." But I am extremely excited to now be having a boy. In fact, I've already started searching different bedding and nursery options.

So let the decorating games begin!

It's been a while

So I thought it would be great to start a blog. And it was great. For the first week. Then I just forgot about it. It's hard work, trying to update a blog, stay active on the social networking sites, and work all at the same time! Gheesh!

So I'm going to turn over a new leaf and try to update this at least a couple of times a month. I'll start with Christmas and we'll go from there.

Easter

Our first Easter with Emma actually being able to walk & pick up the eggs. We really didn't think she'd understand the concept much, but she wnt straight for all the eggs, putting them in her pretty little basket. She enjoyed walking all around the backyard--she's really going to love this summer with Daddy--picking up eggs and sticks. Looking especially cute in her pretty dress and beautiful pink, spring coat.

Eiiikkk....First Post

So I thought I'd try this whole blog-thing. I find it interesting to read about other people's lives, see pictures, share memories....so here's my/our shot of it!
