Click Clack Moo

Both kids went on a field trip to see the hilarious musical, “Click Clack Moo” yesterday.  Emma went with her Kindergarten class and Drewbie went with his preschool class.  While I was super-excited to be chaperoning Emma’s class, I was bummed I wasn’t able to go with Drew’s class.  But, it sure made my day when I spotted him in the audience when I first entered.  As soon as he realized it was me standing across the theater, he beamed from ear to ear with that cute, little dimple of his.

What is “Click Clack Moo?”  Well, it’s the cutest little musical that takes place on Farmer Brown’s farm (which happened to be at Clowes Memorial Hall yesterday), and all the animals have had enough!  They work all day to provide milk and eggs, but when their request for electric blankets to warm the cold barn is ignored, the cows take matters into their own hooves.  It’s an ever-cute adaptation of the Caldecott Honor Book, “Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type.”

And, naturally, Emma can't act "normal" and give me a sweet smile.
She has to ham it up for the camera.

Pinkalicious

"Can't I have just one more?"  When Pinkalicious ate one too many pink cupcakes, she caught a case of Pinkititis and turned pink from head to toe!  It took the wisdom of her broccoli-eating little brother to help her get out of this predicament.

Our Girl Scout troop saw Pinkalicious at Beef & Boards this past weekend.  It was a really cute musical, and the girls had a great time.  It was so cute to see how excited they all wear, dressing in pink sparkles and pink boas, and pink shoes, and pink tiaras, and pink pink pink.

My Man

I can't get enough of my little Doobie. He's the cutest, sweetest, most lovable little guy.

And he loves his momma.

Me: "Who's baby boy are you?"
Drew: "Your baby boy."

I ask him this on a daily basis. Is he a baby? Well, no. He's almost 4 years old now. But he is my baby. My sweet, sweet little man.

I feel sorry for any girl that enters his life.

Cause he will never love anyone as much as he loves his momma.

Ever.

Love Is.....

......"doing krafs with my mom and me."

This just solidified everything for me. This is why I made a huge lifestyle change earlier this school year. This is why I love being a mom.

This is my Emma.

I love her more than words can explain.

Sweetheart Dance

For weeks, Emma was SO EXCITED for the father-daughter Sweetheart Dance.  That's all she could talk about!  Grandma was even making a beautiful dress, where she got to pick everything out from the pattern to the fabric to the tulle.

But then grandma's sewing machine broke just as she was putting the finishing touches on it.

And when Papa arrived (because Andy was out of town) to take the princess to the ball and she became "embarrassed."

Hiding in corners.

Not wanting to take a picture.

Just being an overall cranky-butt (I'm being nice, here).

Quite honestly, I'm not sure who was more embarrassed: her or me?  After the way she acted and treated Papa, I was quite embarrassed on her behalf.  Who raised such an inconsiderate child anyway?!?

But after we all went out to dinner, she started acting better.  Although, I guess she got a little "embarrassed" again when she arrived at the dance.  But my dad said that as soon as she found her friends, she was off and running around with them.

Leaving my poor father to fend for himself with all the other poor saps who got stuck on the sidelines.

Sorry dad!  When Emma gets old enough to read this, she'll understand and apologize.......until then, we did get a couple of cute pictures in!

Gymnastics Update

Emma's been in gymnastics for about 2 years now.  She absolutely LOVES it.  (That, and cheer leading.)  While I don't foresee an Olympics anywhere in the future, she has made great progress over the course of those years.  She's in the Intermediate class, with about 5 other girls, but she's the only Kindergartner.  Most of them look to be about 2nd, 3rd, or 4th graders.
