Christ the King Festival

Last weekend was the annual CTK festival. As always, we had to make an appearance to get some good food and to play in Tigertown. Emma had fun tearing apart the Bounce House Obstacle Course. The kid has no fear and always makes a flying leap from the top of the course. She's crazy, that little girl! Drewbie did a good job at being the content little man that he is. We even let him have his first sucker, which was a big hit. Kept him entertained for quite a while!

Outer Banks Vacation

I won't spend too much time writing about it on this blog because I'm working on a digital photo album to remember this wonderful vacation. I'll just include a few pics below. We had a wonderful time with the family, so much so that we've decided to make it an annual trip every summer! It's a beautiful island of the coast of NC....pretty underdeveloped, non-commerical, and just peaceful!

24 Hour Flu

We got hit with the 24-hour flu last week. Fresh off vacation, Drewbie kicked it off with Sunday night and was out of commission for almost the entire week. (So I guess his wasn't really 24 hours was it?!?) Next came Andy, who had a violent fit of it Wednesday. I felt so bad for him! Once he started to get himself back into working order, Emma started the vomitting. Luckily hers was just for 10 hours or so, because it then hit me.

Such is life with multiple people in your household. At times you share more than you'd like to. :)

Alas...He's walking!

Drewbie hit a milestone this past week while we were on vacation in the Outer Banks. Although he's been taking a few steps here and there, they've never been more than 5 or 7 steps. It's almost as if he realizes that he's balancing himself, so then he would just plop down and crawl.....like, "Ohmygosh, I think I'm walking. This is way too complicated for me, so I'll just do what I know best. Crawl."

But, alas. Little man is on the prowl. Now, I must admit--when he gets anxious or lazy, he does resort to crawling. He knows that's the fastest means of transportation, so he'll resort to that at times. But for the most part, I now have two walking kiddos.

Swagger Wagon

Well, we finally did it. We finally caved in a got a minivan. Or as I like to refer to them---a "swagger wagon." (If you're unfamiliar with the term, check out this music video....hilarious! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql-N3F1FhW4) And let me just tell you, it's amazing! We got the fully-loaded, leather interior, DVD Honda Odyssey...or as Emma calls it the "movie car." (She's already fully versed in how to operate the screen and remote control.) Andy's lease was up on his Pilot, and even though he swore up and down that he'd be purchasing it when the lease ran up, I just KNEW that he'd buy something new. There are two things Andy always has to have: the latest technology and a new car. So after laying out all our options, I decided to cave and got a new one.

Best decision ever.

I can't wait to leave for our vacation on Friday. It's going be like driving in the lap of luxury!
