Emma's 100th Day of School

Emma’s Kindergarten class celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing as 100 year olds.  Words can’t even begin to tell you how incredibly excited she was for this day to come!  She has been talking about it for weeks.  She even came into our room at 3:30 this morning (that was fun), wondering if it was time to get up and get ready for school.

How cute is this?

Matchy-Matchy American Girl Outfits

My mom is so freaking talented.  For Halloween, she made Emma a St. Pius X cheerleader outfit.

And it was such a hit (and by that I mean, she wears it every other day), that she decided to make her American Girl Doll a matching one.

But the fun didn't stop there.  She made her a matching Girl Scout (Daisy) vest.  (And this is super-special because she used patches from my Girl Scout sash.)

She also made a plaid jumper, like Emma's school uniform.  And I have a sneaky suspicion that more matching clothes will be made in the future!

Girl Scout Cookies

Emma is so excited to be selling Girl Scout cookies for the first time ever!  She’s all about organizing her clip board, learning her cookies, and decorating for her troop’s booth.

Oh, and selling 1,000 boxes of cookies to get an American Girl Doll.

No big deal.

Just a modest, simple sign-up sheet that Emma decorated for my office.

Snow Much Fun

With all the snow we received over Christmas Break, we certainly made up for the lack of snow we didn't get last year!

Boy, did we enjoy it!

Christmas 2012

Andy and I are so very blessed.  We have two beautiful babies who not only enjoy the magic of Christmas, but they also understand the true meaning of this holiday is the birth of baby Jesus.  And I attribute that to the schools that they attend.  Emma celebrated His birthday with a baby shower for Jesus.  All the kids (in grades K-8) brought in a baby gift that they presented at Mass.  Not only do they celebrate the birth of Jesus, but they are also learned how the gift of giving to others in need is most important!  And not to leave Drew out: his preschool class went to Chapel to learn about baby Jesus as well.

After looking through these Christmas pictures, I wish I had the power to just press "pause."  We are truly at the magical stage of the Spirit of Christmas, where everything is so amazing in the eyes of Emma & Drew.  From writing a letter to St. Nick himself, to sprinkling reindeer magic on the front step.......everything is so fantastic and exciting through the eyes of a 6 and 3 year old!

Sprinkling reindeer magic on the front step.......

.........because Santa's reindeer need to know where to stop, right?
