Emma's Swimming Lessons

Emma started her first official swimming lessons at the Carmel Monon Center. And wow--let me just tell you--that place is AWESOME! This place is like Summer Heaven to little ones. Heck, it's heaven to me! It has about a gazillion pools, all of different depths, lots of water play zones for kids, a "lazy river," plenty of shaded area, 2 slides, and snacks galore. We enrolled her in "Preschool Level 2" which means she is comfortable in the water, able to fully submerge herself in water, paddle & kick, and lie comfortably on her front and back with support. All of which Emma is. From the moment we put her in water, she loved it. She's like a little fish, that girlie, so we knew she'd love swimming lessons.

And it's great that she's in a class with only 2 other children. So the one-on-one care is fantastic! The only negative to this whole experience is that we don't have a membership, so it's a battle getting her to leave everyday. We're definitely going to get a summer pass next year!

So cute! Emma IS a little fish. And what is up with her really good looking swim instructor? Why were my swim instructors always middle age women? :)

Lauren, that's so funny you say that! He was H-O-T!!! I heard a couple of the other moms say the same thing. :)
