Elf on the Shelf

Buddy made his arrival to our house this past weekend.  This is his 3rd year here at the Swickheimer residence, and he sure is a popular little guy!  Emma continually talks to and about him.  So far, she’s written him 2 notes and he’s only been with us for 4 days thus far.  Drew loves to see where he’s hiding………..but by far, Emma enjoys it the most.  She talks to him every morning, when she comes home from school, and before she goes to bed.  She even talks to him at school, because she saw him fly by her classroom window on Monday.

And I still enjoy it to.  Mostly because I use him as threatening device.  “Buddy, I sure hope you’re not listening to Emma throw this tantrum. Santa would not be very happy to hear how she’s behaving!”
Emma wrote: "What I want for Christmas is a girls bow and arrow" and left it on her dresser......
So Buddy wrote back, "OK Emma. Be a good girl and I'll tell Santa what you want! Love, Buddy"

So the next night, he made an appearance in Drew's room

We were doing crafts last night, and Buddy must've been feeling left out, so he painted a little something red!
But the cutest part is the note that Emma left:
"Buddy do you know Chippy? Yes or No"
(Chippy is the elf from the movie "Elf on the Shelf")
